Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park
Take an early flight from Zanzibar to Arusha, where your safari guide meets you and drives you to Tarangire National Park (about 2 hours). Famous for its elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and seasonal river, Tarangire offers a rich wildlife introduction. Look for lions, giraffes, zebras, antelope, and many bird species. After the game drive, overnight at a lodge or camp near the park.
Drive from Tarangire to Serengeti
After breakfast, drive through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands to the Serengeti, enjoying game viewing en route. As you enter the Serengeti, the landscape opens into endless plains filled with wildlife. Enjoy an afternoon game drive as you spot wildebeest, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and more. Overnight in a tented safari camp deep in the Serengeti.
Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti ecosystem, which hosts over 2 million animals and is world-famous for the Great Migration (seasonal). Whether it's the open plains, riverbanks, or rocky kopjes, there's constant action—lion hunts, elephant herds, hyena packs, and much more. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush and return to camp for dinner under the stars.
Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Rim
After a sunrise game drive and breakfast, you begin the journey out of Serengeti toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you can stop at a Maasai village (optional) or at the Olduvai Gorge Museum, one of the world’s most important paleoanthropological sites. You’ll reach your lodge on the crater rim in time to enjoy sweeping views and a restful evening.
Game Drive in the Ngorongoro Crater & Return to Zanzibar
Rise early and descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a unique natural enclosure teeming with wildlife, including rhinos, lions, buffalo, elephants, and hippos. After a thrilling half-day crater game drive and picnic lunch, drive back to Arusha for your evening flight to Zanzibar, ending your safari adventure.
