Zanzibar to Arusha – Game Drive in Tarangire National Park
Catch an early flight from Zanzibar to Arusha Airport, where your private safari guide will greet you. From there, drive to Tarangire National Park (about 2 hours), a less-crowded gem known for its huge elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and abundant wildlife near the Tarangire River. Enjoy a game drive spotting giraffes, wildebeest, lions, and many bird species. Overnight at a lodge or camp in or near Tarangire.
Fly to Serengeti – Game Drive in Central Serengeti
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha Airport for a scenic bush flight to Seronera Airstrip in the Central Serengeti. Upon arrival, begin a game drive in one of Africa’s most famous ecosystems, home to the Great Migration (depending on the season), big cats, elephants, and endless plains. You’ll explore the savannas and river areas before retiring to your luxury tented camp or lodge in the Serengeti for an unforgettable night under the stars.
Morning Game Drive – Transfer to Ngorongoro Area
Enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti, when wildlife is most active. Then depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with optional stops along the way (like the Olduvai Gorge or a Maasai village, time permitting). Arrive at your lodge on the Ngorongoro Crater rim by evening, with stunning sunset views across the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.
Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Flight to Zanzibar
After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day safari. The crater is densely packed with wildlife—lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, hippos, flamingos, and even the rare black rhino. After a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, drive back to Arusha and catch your afternoon flight to Zanzibar, ending your safari adventure.
