Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins with morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha by your guide. After a short briefing, you’ll drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 hours). Known for its large elephant herds, towering baobab trees, and wide savannahs, Tarangire is a fantastic introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife. Enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch in the park. In the late afternoon, head to your mid-range lodge near the park for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park with a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy incredible landscapes and stop for optional visits (e.g., Olduvai Gorge Museum). After entering Serengeti, you’ll begin your game drive en route to the central Serengeti (Seronera area), known for big cats and abundant wildlife year-round. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in the Serengeti.

Day 3

Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Enjoy a full day of game drives in the Serengeti. Begin with a sunrise game drive, when predators are most active. Depending on the season, you may witness part of the Great Migration — huge herds of wildebeests and zebras moving in search of fresh grazing. The Serengeti is also home to lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, hyenas, and a wide range of plains game and birds. Lunch can be a picnic or at camp. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Rim

After breakfast and a final morning game drive in the Serengeti, you’ll begin the journey back toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy wildlife sightings along the way. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at your lodge situated on or near the crater rim, offering stunning views and a cool highland climate. Enjoy a relaxing evening and dinner at the lodge.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive → Lake Manyara

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive in this unique natural amphitheater. The crater hosts an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, hippos, flamingos, and the rare black rhino. After lunch near a hippo pool, ascend from the crater and drive to Lake Manyara area, where you’ll check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

After breakfast, head into Lake Manyara National Park for your final game drive. This park is known for its lush forest, hot springs, tree-climbing lions (if you're lucky!), and large flocks of flamingos and birdlife along the lake. After a relaxed morning of wildlife viewing, return to Arusha in the afternoon, where your guide will drop you off at your hotel or airport — marking the end of your safari.
